By 1978 Blondie had broken through internationally, and Debbie Harry's image — at once tough and luminous — had become one of the most recognizable in popular music. Grossman, photographing her in color, captures the pop-art saturation that suited her crossover moment, when the downtown punk scene was reshaping the global mainstream. The result reads less as a candid than as an icon in the making.

Each print is produced from the original transparency, dated and hand-signed by Bobby Grossman on the front, stamped on the verso, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by the gallery. All works are limited edition.
