Taken with the connivance of Bob Brown, Newcastle City Hall's manager. Bowie’s management had imposed a ban on unofficial photography, but with the help of a steward’s armband, a torch, and instructions to remain discreet, Ian Dickson captured Ziggy Stardust in full flight, securing his first major photographic scoop.
