Ramones, First Album Cover Session, New York City, 1976

This photograph of the Ramones, taken in New York City in 1976, was used as the cover image for the band's debut album.

The image is closely tied to the visual identity of early punk and to Bayley's documentation of the scene that formed around CBGB and the Bowery during this period.
