Jack Robinson

1 available works/23 subjects

Jack Robinson (1928–1997) was one of the most distinctive photographers of the 1960s and early 1970s, creating iconic portraits of Tina Turner, Joni Mitchell, Elton John, Leonard Cohen, The Who, Sonny & Cher, and many others at defining moments in their careers.

At the height of his success, Robinson unexpectedly left New York and abandoned professional photography. Following his death, an extraordinary archive of meticulously preserved negatives, contact sheets, and prints was discovered, revealing a remarkable body of work that had remained largely unseen for decades.

Today, Jack Robinson’s photographs offer an intimate and timeless record of the artists who shaped modern music and popular culture. Each work is available as a limited edition, estate-stamped fine art print.
